Create, direct and manage digital activations to mark Guernsey’s 75th anniversary of its liberation at the end of WW2 through the virtual Heritage75 festival, appealing to a broad spectrum of ages.
LOTUS submitted a portfolio of creative concepts to VisitGuernsey to be implemented virtually. The aim was to sustain media and consumer interest and intrigue in the destination throughout lockdown 2020.
We created online events as part of the virtual festival; interviews with British historian and presenter Dan Snow, a special reading by author Annie Barrows, a sofa singalong with The Sofa Singers, and charity film screening of STUDIOCANAL’s The Guernsey Literary & Potato Peel Pie Society.
LOTUS also supported with the design of the micro-site, and drafted impactful copy for the website, newsletters, press materials and social media.
Targeting a broad spectrum of media with first person interviews and latest news round-ups, we secured quality column inches in the likes of The Daily Telegraph, i and The Sun. This was in addition to coverage in mature market publications, travel trade press and on specialist blogs.
Print and digital coverage was complemented by radio and TV opportunities and celebrity and influencer social media engagement from Lily James (2.4 million Instagram followers), Michiel Huisman (510k Instagram followers) and STUDIOCANAL (8.4k Instagram / 75k Twitter followers).
